In 1992, Ken and Eileen arrived on the Outer Banks from New York City. They came with a dream to create a shopping experience that would leave both gift buyers and gift receivers filled with the singular joy that "just the right" jewelry selection can give. The original 800 square foot store expanded to 3000 square feet over the course of 14 years. Realizing that to give their clients the ultimate shopping experience the store needed to be in a more central location on the Outer Banks, Ken and Eileen made the decision to move the store from the quaint town of Manteo to Kitty Hawk in June of 2006. They invite you to step into their world in Kitty Hawk at Milepost 4 3/4, where our namesake, Diamonds ‘n Dunes, brings together the majestic beauty of the sea with exciting and innovative jewelry designs.

Co-owners Ken Kelley and Eileen Alexanian have built a business based on trust and expertise. As the store's bench jeweler-designer, Ken has spent several decades perfecting his craft. Eileen is a Certified Graduate Gemologist Appraiser of the American Gem Society. Together, with their certified staff, they offer a rarity in today's fast-paced world of commerce-superb customer service.
